This kit comes with everything needed to test the purity of methanol. It includes a calibrated methanol hydrometer, an armored thermometer with graduations in 1 degree increments from 25° F to 125°. F with labels every 10 degrees, a 500 mL glass hydrometer cylinder and complete testing instructions.
As methanol sits for extended periods of time, it can absorb moisture from the air and become contaminated with water. Too much water can cause problems with reactions creating underreacted Biodiesel.

In testing, we found using the 500 mL glass hydrometer cylinder to be extremely stable and simple to take readings through. The thermometer was easy to use and was always extremely accurate. We've used this kit several times and highly recommend it.
